Stone Soup
Join Valley Food Partnership for our 4th annual Stone Soup community lunch. This is a time for neighbors to come together and build community over the power of food. We are proud this year to join the CO150 Long Tables movement in celebration of Colorado’s 150 birthday. Join us for free soup, salad, and bread to celebrate the bounty of the Western Slope and to share our appreciation with our farmers market vendors and customers!

Fermentation Workshop
Join Valley Food Partnership and master fermenter Nic Easely to preserve summer’s harvest and learn about the health benefits of fermentation. This is a hands-on workshop to learn veggie based saltwater brine. Each participant will take home 2 jars of preserved local veggies!

Spooky Harvest Market
Join Montrose Farmers Market on Saturday, October 31, 9am-1pm for a Spooky Harvest Market. Family-friendly activities include costume contest at 11am, kids’ activities, and live music. Come by and join in on the fun!
Western Colorado Farm & Ranch Innovation Expo
Valley Food Partnership is proud to be a vendor at the 3rd annual Western Colorado Farm and Ranch Innovation Expo. We’ll be there with Sprout, showcasing the power of a 3’ drill for interseeding between orchard/vineyard rows and covercropping smaller acreage.

Roots of Renewal is an educational conference for producers and those interested in the future of Western Colorado Agriculture that takes place each January in Montrose, CO.
Southwest Fresh Fest
Valley Food Partnership is proud to once again sponsor Billy Goat Hop Farm’s Southwest Fresh Fest. We will be offering a local food sampling to celebrate local food and agriculture in the Uncompahgre Valley! We’ll be there all day, so stop by our booth, celebrate local agriculture, and say hello.
Big B’s Friday night music
Friday night live music at Big B’s Orchards in Hotchkiss, CO features a local non-profit organization and Valley Food Partnership is that non-profit on Friday, Sept 25th. Come on over to Hotchkiss to move and groove to some great live music, drink tasty local cider, and support our mission to connect local agriculture and local people.

Enterprise Planning
This workshop supports producers and food entrepreneurs in launching new enterprises through market research, financial planning, marketing, and enterprise design. Graduates leave with a tangible enterprise portfolio and a clear path forward.
Christmas on the Plaza
Celebrate the holiday season with the Montrose Farmers Market! Snap a photo with Santa and send him a letter straight to the North Pole! Bring an ornament for the ornament swap and make your own at the craft station. Don't forget to visit our amazing vendors for some holiday gifts before catching the Parade of Lights!
Stone Soup Community Lunch
Join us for a free community lunch in appreciation of our Montrose Farmers Market community- vendors, customers, sponsors, and volunteers- all are welcome to break bread with us! The Valley Food Partnership team will serve up two seasonal soups with a fresh salad and bread, all made with local ingredients sourced from our vendors and local farms. Lunch will be served from inside the Montrose Police Departments Community Room from 11 am to 1 pm on Saturday, October 11th at the Montrose Farmers Market.

Join us at Billy Goat Hop Farm for a fun night of drinks and laughs watching Son in Law, with beer, NA, food trucks, and lawn games. Donations support Valley Food Partnership’s mission to connect local agriculture and local people
